Biomedical Technician

Perform specialized technical tasks involved in the installation, maintenance, servicing, modification, troubleshooting and calibration of a variety of complex diagnostic, therapeutic and other biomedical equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of medical equipment, software, giving live manuals demonstration, and to collect.
  • Assist in checking all the machines & equipment in the hospital and store data/report about them in the computer.
  • Responsible for following the medical equipment, service contracts, and PMS.
  • Assist in dealing with companies and suppliers of medical equipment and making comparisons between them to provide it to the maintenance manager.
  • To assist in ensuring quality control for all medical equipment being used in the hospital as per international safety standard.
  • Take good care of the biomedical equipment by doing a daily maintenance check, take immediate actions on maintenance requests received and working as a team with the maintenance supervisor & technician.
  • To aim for continuous development and improvement to reach a high level of technology.
  • Assist in providing the maintenance manager a daily maintenance report of the medical equipment or anything related to biomedical section.
  • If called for, to attend meetings of the purchasing committee as a technical person regarding procurement of medical equipment and give valuable suggestions. 
  • Assist in training the staff in the hospital to use the medical equipment in the right manner and to maintain them in good condition.
  • Responsible to attend off duty calls as per the Hospital policy.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
  • To make sure that all the medical equipment delivered to the hospital is informed to the coordinator immediately.
 
 
Job Requirements:

Education Level
  • Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or related studies

Experience
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Language/Literacy
  • Proficiency in English Languages
